Accessibility Statement

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA and to make copying emojis and symbols usable for everyone, including keyboard and screen-reader users.

What we do

• Every emoji and symbol button has a descriptive accessible name, such as “Copy red heart emoji”.
• Emoji grids are keyboard navigable with the arrow keys, and Enter or Space copies the focused item.
• Copy confirmations are announced through an aria-live status region rather than an alert box.
• Favorite state is conveyed with text and a pressed state, not colour alone.
• We provide visible focus styles, adequate touch targets and support for dark mode and reduced motion.

Known limitations

• Fancy text and some rare symbols may not be read correctly by assistive technology — this is a limitation of the characters themselves, which we explain on the relevant tool pages.
• Emoji rendering depends on your device’s fonts.
